Hello and welcome to the blog! I am so excited to be sharing a new FREE end of year writing prompt with you all today! The “end of year” for schools is approaching so fast, and it is truly the best time to reflect on all the awesome experiences you have been able to have with your class.
Do you enjoy theme days during the end of year season? I’m thinking camp day, lemonade day, bubble day, beach day, and TACO DAY! A taco themed day would also be PERFECT for Cinco de Mayo, which conveniently falls near the end of school.
I have created several TACO THEMED end of year writing prompts to celebrate a fantastic school year full of learning, relationship-building, and memory-making. I recently listed four end of year taco day writing prompts in my Teachers Pay Teachers store, but I wanted to share a FREE fifth project with you here on the blog. This one is titled “Hats Off to a Great Year!” Students will reflect on some of the best parts of their school year as they complete this adorable project.
Each of my themed end of year writing prompts comes with a worksheet for brainstorming, a worksheet for sentence practicing, a few different final draft templates, and a fun craft! With this project, students will decorate a sombrero! I have included a large version and a small version of the sombrero.
